Charlotte, North Carolina, USA — August 5, 2026 — Honeywell Technology has announced the completion of the sale of its Warehouse and Workflow Solutions (WWS) business to American Industrial Partners (AIP) through an all-cash transaction.
The WWS business, which operated under the Intelligrated and Transnorm brands, has now been transferred to American Industrial Partners. The divestment allows Honeywell to further focus on its core automation technologies and industrial solutions for building, industrial, and process markets.
By streamlining its business portfolio, Honeywell aims to accelerate its long-term strategy of supporting the transition from traditional automation toward autonomous industrial operations.
Honeywell Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Vimal Kapur stated that the completion of the WWS business sale further strengthens Honeywell’s position as a focused industrial automation company.
The company plans to concentrate more resources on automation technologies that help customers improve operational efficiency, enhance productivity, and achieve smarter industrial management.
The industrial sector is increasingly moving beyond conventional automation systems toward intelligent and autonomous operations. Technologies such as artificial intelligence, industrial software, advanced sensors, and connected control platforms are becoming important drivers of future manufacturing development.

Before completing the WWS transaction, Honeywell had already completed several major portfolio adjustments.
In June 2026, Honeywell completed the separation of its aerospace business, which began operating as an independent publicly traded company under Honeywell Aerospace. Earlier, in October 2025, Honeywell completed the separation of its advanced materials business, now operating independently as Solstice Advanced Materials.
These strategic changes are designed to create a more focused business structure and allow Honeywell to invest more heavily in industrial automation, digital transformation, and intelligent operations.
Since 2023, Honeywell has completed approximately $11.5 billion in strategic acquisitions aimed at strengthening its technology capabilities and expanding its industrial solutions portfolio.
The acquisitions include businesses related to compressor control systems, security technologies, liquefied natural gas (LNG) solutions, industrial pumps, battery safety technologies, and catalyst technologies.
Through these investments, Honeywell continues to expand its capabilities across industrial control, process automation, energy management, safety systems, and digital industrial platforms.
The completion of the WWS business sale reflects Honeywell’s continued transformation toward becoming a more focused industrial automation technology provider.
For global manufacturing companies, the next stage of industrial development will depend not only on automated equipment but also on intelligent systems capable of analyzing data, optimizing processes, and supporting real-time decision-making.
As industries worldwide accelerate digital transformation, automation suppliers with strong capabilities in control systems, industrial software, sensors, and connected technologies will play an important role in building the factories of the future.
Honeywell’s strategic focus highlights a broader industry trend: industrial automation is evolving from simple process control toward intelligent, connected, and autonomous operations.
