Time:2026-05-08 Browse: 0

At the 2026 China Development Forum Annual Meeting on March 22, during the special session on “Global Green Low-Carbon Transition and Sustainable Development”, ABB Group CEO Martin highlighted China’s remarkable leadership in the global green transition and the country’s significant achievements in renewable energy development. China has built the world’s largest and fastest-growing renewable energy system, with renewable capacity accounting for over 60% of total installed power generation. Notable progress has also been made in emerging energy storage and green computing infrastructure, laying a solid foundation for achieving the nation’s “dual-carbon” targets.

As a long-term strategic partner and technology contributor in China, ABB is actively supporting this transition with innovative solutions. Martin cited several examples of ABB’s contributions:

  • Zero-Carbon Industrial Park in Zhenjiang Yangzhong: In collaboration with Jiangsu Haineng Electric Technology, ABB implemented the city’s first zero-carbon park project.

  • Smart Manufacturing for Qingdao Special Steel: ABB’s solutions integrate digital twin technology, data analytics, and secure management platforms, enabling real-time data collection and centralized control across the entire production process.

  • Maritime Energy Efficiency Solutions: ABB’s motion control technologies help ships improve energy efficiency, reduce fuel costs, and lower emissions.

Martin emphasized that China is ABB’s second-largest global market. The company will continue to focus on local growth opportunities and leverage innovative technologies to respond to China’s “dual-carbon” policies, supporting sustainable development and green transformation initiatives.
