The innovation enables precise calibration of peripheral equipment associated with industrial robots, such as conveyors or automated tooling, using an intuitive touchscreen interface. The method involves:
Recording multiple non-collinear points on the touchscreen when the peripheral device is in a first position, mapping these points to both the robot coordinate system and the touchscreen coordinate system.
Moving the peripheral device to a second position and repeating the measurement process with additional points.
Using the collected coordinate sets to accurately determine the peripheral device’s position within the robot coordinate system, ensuring precise alignment and operational accuracy.
This touchscreen-based calibration system simplifies setup, reduces human error, and enhances robot-peripheral integration, supporting applications in automated manufacturing, assembly lines, and precision material handling.
