May 26, 2026 — During the inaugural MRO & Aviation Supply Chain Expo, China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC) signed multiple procurement and distribution agreements with Honeywell Aerospace. The agreements cover advanced aviation materials, including avionics and mechanical components, reinforcing cooperation between China’s aviation supply sector and leading global aerospace manufacturers.
Under the agreements, CATIC will secure exclusive distribution rights for Honeywell mechanical products and components for Airbus fleets, as well as inertial reference components for the C909 aircraft model. Additionally, CATIC will act as the sole agent for the Boeing fleet Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) upgrade projects in China.
This partnership enhances China’s aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities, providing airlines and aviation operators with more reliable, high-quality spare parts and components. It also strengthens Honeywell Aerospace’s footprint in the Chinese market, enabling faster support for regional aircraft operators and streamlined logistics for critical aviation equipment.
Industry observers note that exclusive distribution agreements like these are pivotal for optimizing aircraft operational efficiency, reducing downtime, and ensuring supply chain reliability—key factors in modern aerospace operations.
