Recently, Jiayze New Energy (5.250, -0.17, -3.14%) Chairman Chen Bo, alongside Vice President Yang Yaoting and Deputy General Manager Yang Jie, visited Honeywell UOP to explore potential collaboration in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) technology. The delegation engaged in in-depth discussions with Honeywell’s low-carbon energy technology team, focusing on SAF technology cooperation, project implementation, and market promotion.
The meeting included key Honeywell representatives: Barry Glickman, Vice President and General Manager of Low-Carbon Energy Technology; Syed Owais Ali, General Manager of Renewable Fuels; Hassan Qurechi, Senior Director of Product Management; Leigh Abrams, Senior Director of Emerging Fuels Business; Malik Haouchine, Chief Business Analyst; Qu Guangdong, China General Manager of Low-Carbon Energy Technology, and other R&D center leaders.

In the morning, the Jiayze New Energy delegation toured Honeywell’s research and development center in Des Plaines, Illinois, United States. The delegation observed the R&D facilities and received presentations on Honeywell’s technological advancements and industrial applications in low-carbon energy, renewable fuels, and SAF.
The visit provided the Jiayze team with insights into Honeywell’s decade-long experience in SAF development and commercialization, showcasing the company’s industry-leading technological and operational expertise.
In the afternoon, the delegation attended a dedicated exchange meeting at Honeywell UOP’s Rosemont headquarters. Barry Glickman welcomed the Jiayze New Energy team and presented an overview of Honeywell’s development history, including UCO (Used Cooking Oil), ATJ (Alcohol-to-Jet), and MTJ (Methanol-to-Jet) technology pathways.
Honeywell UOP, a global leader in energy and chemical technologies and a Fortune 500 company, has over a century of innovation in the sector. Its experience in SAF production and renewable fuels positions it as a strategic partner for companies pursuing low-carbon aviation solutions.

Jiayze New Energy representatives introduced the company’s SAF project plans and progress. The discussions focused on potential collaboration models for a 100,000-ton ethanol-to-jet (ETJ) project, exploring synergies in technology deployment, production scaling, and market development.
Both sides emphasized the importance of advancing sustainable aviation fuels to meet growing global demand while supporting carbon reduction goals in the aviation industry.
