At a recent China International Import Expo (CIIE)-related discussion, Chen Yan, a senior executive at Honeywell, stated that foreign enterprises are expected to play a deeper role in China’s ongoing “Six Networks” infrastructure development initiative. The comments highlight Honeywell’s long-term commitment to the Chinese market and its strategic alignment with emerging infrastructure investment opportunities.
Honeywell has operated in China for more than 90 years, positioning the country as one of its most important global markets. According to Chen Yan, the company continues to view China as a key driver of long-term growth, particularly in advanced industrial infrastructure, energy systems, and intelligent building technologies.
The “Six Networks” framework, which includes power grids, communication networks, computing infrastructure, and other foundational systems, is expected to generate significant demand for advanced industrial technologies and integrated solutions.
Industry observers note that these infrastructure layers are closely aligned with Honeywell’s core business domains, including automation, energy management, environmental control, fire safety, and security systems.

Chen Yan emphasized that the continued development of the “Six Networks” will unlock substantial market opportunities for global technology providers. In particular, demand is expected to grow in areas such as smart energy management systems, industrial control solutions, and building efficiency technologies.
Honeywell plans to further strengthen its portfolio of integrated solutions to meet higher operational standards across infrastructure projects. This includes enhancing system-level integration capabilities and improving energy efficiency performance across industrial and commercial applications.
China’s ongoing infrastructure modernization and digital transformation strategy continues to attract global industrial technology companies. The “Six Networks” initiative is widely viewed as part of a broader push toward intelligent, low-carbon, and digitally connected infrastructure systems.
Honeywell’s long-term engagement in China positions the company to participate in multiple high-growth segments, including smart cities, industrial IoT deployment, and advanced energy systems optimization.
As infrastructure investment accelerates, analysts expect increased collaboration between multinational industrial firms and domestic ecosystem partners. Honeywell’s stated commitment reinforces the trend of global industrial companies deepening their presence in China’s next-generation infrastructure development landscape.
