Schneider Electric, together with China Telecom and Ailing, has officially inaugurated the world’s first Industrial Cellular Network Factory in Guangzhou, marking a major milestone in the large-scale industrial deployment of cellular network technologies.
The launch ceremony also featured the release of the “5G Industrial Private Network Security Monitoring and Operation Management White Paper”, jointly developed by the three partners.
The factory is located at Schneider Electric (Guangzhou) Busway Co., Ltd. (commonly known as SBG Factory), one of Schneider Electric’s largest busbar manufacturing sites globally. The initiative represents the first global implementation of a deeply integrated industrial cellular network ecosystem, providing a scalable and replicable model for industrial digital transformation worldwide.

Senior executives from Schneider Electric, China Telecom, Ailing, and the Industrial Internet Research Institute attended the launch event.
In his keynote speech, Zhang Kaipeng, Senior Vice President and Global Supply Chain President of Schneider Electric, stated that industrial cellular networks represent a critical leap for 5G technology—from supporting production to becoming fully embedded in production control systems—enabling faster translation of advanced technologies into real industrial productivity.
Zhu Hao, Director of the Standards Division at the Industrial Internet Research Institute, emphasized the importance of standards as the foundation of industrial development, noting that the multi-party collaboration will strongly support large-scale adoption of 5G in industrial applications.
Liu Yongxin, President of China Telecom’s Industrial Industry Division, highlighted the importance of building a robust industrial cellular network foundation to accelerate deep and large-scale integration of 5G in manufacturing environments.
Ailing Vice President Zhang Yiyan stated that the collaboration between the three parties reflects a shared vision for industrial digital transformation. He noted that the partners successfully overcame multiple technical challenges, turning the concept of an industrial cellular network factory into reality.
Ailing’s mission is to simplify, secure, and enhance reliability in industrial 5G deployments, with a focus on industrial edge computing and private 5G networks. The company plans to continue working with ecosystem partners to accelerate the deployment of industrial cellular network technologies across smart manufacturing scenarios.
The newly launched factory leverages Schneider Electric’s advanced manufacturing capabilities, China Telecom’s high-quality 5G infrastructure, and Ailing’s expertise in industrial edge computing and private 5G network technologies.
The industrial cellular network, built on a 5G-based architecture with multi-cell connectivity capabilities, delivers high reliability, ultra-low latency, high bandwidth, and massive device connectivity. It enables end-to-end optimization across procurement, production, and delivery processes, significantly improving overall operational efficiency.
At the event, Schneider Electric IT solution expert Li Jinjian provided a detailed analysis of the technical architecture and core characteristics of the industrial cellular network.
Ailing Chief Scientist Yu Yifan and China Telecom 5G expert Qin Shubiao further elaborated on the implementation and real-world applications of the system in industrial environments.
The event also included the official unveiling of the world’s first industrial cellular network factory.
In parallel, the 5G Industrial Private Network Security Monitoring and Operation Management White Paper was launched, aiming to provide a systematic and authoritative framework for security governance in 5G-enabled industrial environments.
China Telecom expert Ma Xiao introduced a key technical approach based on 5G LAN architecture and distributed RSPAN technology to build a unified traffic monitoring plane. This solution enables unified visibility and behavior auditing of both mobile and fixed industrial devices, while supporting compliance with IEC 62443 requirements for continuous communication monitoring, offering a practical approach for brownfield industrial upgrades.
The successful launch of the world’s first industrial cellular network factory represents a major achievement in industrial digital transformation and the large-scale application of 5G-enabled industrial infrastructure.
Moving forward, Schneider Electric, China Telecom, and Ailing will continue to deepen strategic cooperation and promote scalable deployment of industrial cellular network technologies across global manufacturing scenarios, establishing a replicable model for industrial digital transformation worldwide.
