Schneider Electric, a global leader in digital transformation of energy management and automation, announced that its industrial subsidiary has been granted a new utility model patent by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) for an “electrical module” (Patent Publication No.: CN224110228U). The patent application was filed in April 2025.
The patented electrical module introduces an improved internal structural design aimed at enhancing the stability and reliability of electrical connections within modular devices.
The solution is designed to ensure that connecting elements are securely pressed against conductive components, thereby improving contact quality and reducing the risk of poor electrical connection over time.
According to the patent abstract, the electrical module comprises:
A housing including a front panel portion and a rear terminal connection portion
The front panel allows an operating element to pass through for switching the module’s state
The terminal connection portion includes multiple connection holes, each configured to receive a corresponding connector
Multiple conductive elements are arranged inside the housing, adjacent to the connection holes, and electrically coupled with the corresponding connectors
Multiple retaining elements are configured within the housing to press each connector firmly against the corresponding conductive element

By introducing a press-contact retention structure, the design ensures that each connector remains securely engaged with its corresponding conductive element.
This structural improvement enhances electrical contact stability, reduces loosening risks caused by vibration or long-term operation, and contributes to improved safety and durability of electrical modules.
The invention further strengthens Schneider Electric’s portfolio in modular electrical architecture and connection systems. It addresses a key challenge in electrical equipment design—maintaining stable and reliable contact between connectors and conductive pathways in compact modular environments.
Schneider Electric continues to expand its intellectual property portfolio in low-voltage electrical systems, focusing on improving safety, reliability, and ease of installation in modern electrical distribution architectures.
The company remains committed to advancing next-generation energy management solutions through continuous innovation in electrical design, modular systems, and smart infrastructure technologies.
