Honeywell Technologies has completed the sale of its Warehouse and Workflow Solutions (WWS) business to American Industrial Partners (AIP), marking another major step in the company’s long-term portfolio transformation strategy. The all-cash transaction allows Honeywell to further concentrate on industrial automation, process control, and next-generation autonomous technologies.
The divested Warehouse and Workflow Solutions business previously operated under the well-known Intelligrated and Transnorm brands. It provided automation technologies for warehouses, logistics centers, and supply chain operations, including automated sorting systems, palletizing equipment, conveyor solutions, robotics applications, software platforms, and aftermarket services.
Before the transaction, WWS was a significant player in the warehouse automation market, generating approximately $935 million in revenue in 2025. The business supported industries such as e-commerce, manufacturing, retail distribution, and parcel handling with advanced material handling and automation solutions.
Honeywell stated that the divestiture strengthens its position as a pure-play automation company, enabling greater focus on industrial automation growth opportunities and the transition from traditional automation systems toward autonomous industrial operations.

The completion of the WWS sale represents another milestone in Honeywell’s ongoing business restructuring. In recent years, the company has been simplifying its portfolio and concentrating resources on high-value technology areas, including building automation, industrial control, and process automation.
According to Honeywell Chairman and CEO Vimal Kapur, the transaction further clarifies Honeywell’s identity as a pure automation company and positions the company to support the industrial sector’s shift from automation to autonomy.
For industrial customers, this strategic direction indicates that Honeywell will place greater emphasis on areas such as:
Industrial control systems and automation platforms
Process automation technologies
Digital industrial solutions
Advanced monitoring and optimization systems
Autonomous industrial operations
The buyer, American Industrial Partners, is an industrial investment firm with approximately $17.5 billion in assets under management. Following completion of the acquisition, the Intelligrated and Transnorm businesses will continue operations under AIP ownership, maintaining their focus on warehouse automation solutions.
The combination of Intelligrated, Transnorm, and AIP’s existing warehouse automation investments is expected to create a more focused provider of automated material handling technologies for global supply chain customers.
The WWS divestiture follows several major portfolio changes by Honeywell. The company previously completed the separation of its Advanced Materials business in October 2025 and completed the spin-off of its Aerospace Technologies business on June 29, 2026.
Honeywell has also completed the sale of its Personal Protective Equipment business and announced the planned sale of its Productivity Solutions and Services business, continuing its strategy of focusing on automation-related markets.
Honeywell’s restructuring reflects a broader trend among global automation companies: focusing investment on core technologies with higher growth potential.
As industries accelerate digital transformation, manufacturers are increasingly demanding intelligent automation systems that combine control hardware, industrial software, data analytics, and autonomous decision-making capabilities.
For users of Honeywell industrial automation equipment, including controllers, I/O modules, process control systems, and instrumentation products, the company’s updated strategy may bring stronger investment into automation platforms and industrial digitalization solutions.
Honeywell’s completion of the Warehouse and Workflow Solutions business sale marks a significant milestone in its transformation into a focused industrial automation company. By concentrating resources on automation, process control, and autonomous technologies, Honeywell aims to strengthen its role in the future development of Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing.
The transaction also highlights the continued evolution of the global industrial automation market, where major technology companies are increasingly refining their portfolios to support more intelligent, connected, and autonomous industrial environments.
